The grade boundaries are agreed between all the exam boards after the exams. The grade boundaries give a guide to the minimum mark that is typically required to obtain a particular grade. Remember that this is an average value and assumes that you do equally well in your written papers. It is your overall mark from the coursework and written papers that decides your final grade.
